Davison Votes Dort Financial Credit Union Best Credit Union & Mortgage Lender

Recently the Davison Index newspaper put out a call to their readership to vote for the best organizations serving the area, and the people of the Davison area voted Dort Financial their favorite credit union, along with naming us favorite mortgage lender. We have felt for a while that we are one of the best credit unions in Genesee County, but to be recognized with this by the community is a true honor.

We take great pride in being able to be an active participant in the communities we serve. From Genesee, Lapeer, Shiawassee, and Livingston Counties, to now a much larger reach throughout the entire state of Michigan, we live, work and play in the communities we serve.

We have always been grounded in the credit union philosophy of “people helping people” and building throughout the community. In 2019 alone, we were lucky to have been able to have staff from Dort Financial Credit Union participate in over 300 community events.

We truly enjoy giving back to local organizations such as Whaley Children’s Center, United Way, Food Bank of Eastern Michigan and many more. We also have been able to support organizations through raising funds. One recent example was our annual snowman sales which raised over $15,000 for two local charities. This is all part of our commitment to people helping people.

So while people in Davison feel that we are the best credit union, we believe it is due to the communities we are able to serve. We couldn’t do it without you. From our humble beginnings in 1951 to now having over 10 locations and over $1 billion in assets, we couldn’t be more excited about how you have helped us grow.
