March Community Events
Dort Financial Credit Union is a proud supporter of our community. During the month of March we will participate in several events on a sponsorship level, and will also be attending valued community happenings. To see what we are up to this month, check out the list below
March 9th– Flint Chapter of Credit Unions Reality Fair, Montrose High School
Dort Financial Credit Union is a member of the Flint Chapter of Credit Unions. As a part of the chapter, local credit unions take part in financial reality fairs inside middle and high schools. These financial reality fairs allow students to walk through an interactive learning course in which they are taught necessary financial skills to help them throughout life. Students are given a sheet with a listed job and income, and then work their way through the course as if they were taking out loans, purchasing big and small budget items, and finding housing. The financial reality fair allows students to learn more about budgeting and balancing their income with expenses, and allows them to interact with credit union team members in a way they normally would not be able to. Dort Financial Credit Union proudly participated in the Hill-McCloy High School Reality Fair, which supplied over 50 students with financial knowledge.
March 19th – Shiawassee Chamber St. Patty’s 5k, Sponsor
The Shiawassee Chamber is holding their annual St. Patty’s Day 5K on Saturday, March 19th in Owosso. The event also features a beer tent and March Madness watch party. For more information please visit here.
March 25th – April 5th -Flint Township Bunny Trail Sponsorship
Flint Township has brought back their fun Easter event, Discover Flint Township Bunny Trail, for another year! The event takes children and their parents for an egg-searching adventure around Flint Township. Children can also register to win egg-citing prizes.
