Fund set up at Dort Financial Credit Union to assist the 8-year-old survivor of the Euclid Avenue fire
Grand Blanc, MI – Dort Financial Credit Union is accepting donations for the 8-year-old child who lost both parents and his three siblings in the fire that occurred on June 6, 2022 in the 1600 block of Euclid Avenue, Flint. Those who are interested in helping the sole survivor of this tragic fire can make a donation until September 30, 2022 at one of the credit union’s ten branch locations or they may call 800-521-3796. Donations may also be mailed to Dort Financial Credit Union, FBO-Child Survivor Donations at P.O. Box 1635, Flint, MI 48501.
“We knew that we needed to do something to help the family and our employee, who is the closest living relative of this child.” Said Brian Waldron, President/CEO at Dort Financial. “It is just heartbreaking. We have decided the best thing we can do is to offer a way for our credit union and the community to help by opening our branches to accept donations.”
