Dort in the Community- Holiday Edition

Dort Financial Credit Union is a proud community sponsor of the Genesee, Lapeer, Shiawassee, and Livingston Counties area. As we have expanded our membership to include the entire state of Michigan we have also started to expand our community outreach to the surrounding locales as well. From sponsoring dinners and events to volunteering in soup kitchens, you can count on Dort Financial Credit Union to be a part of our shared community. Due to circumstances we may have scaled back some of our in-person initiatives, but keep an eye out for future events and causes we find value in and are grateful to be a part of.

December 4th
YMCA of Greater Flint’s Santa Run

Dort Financial Credit Union has proudly supported the YMCA of Greater Flint’s Annual Santa Run by continuing to be the medal sponsor for this fun, family holiday event. Participants get festive during this annual event by dressing up as Santa and can walk or run on the bricks of downtown Flint and the surrounding neighborhoods in this timed race. The race is truly something to see as hundreds of Santas descend on the downtown area. Participants, don’t forget to stop by the refreshment table for your delicious holiday treats and goodies, or take some photos with the festive decorations around the YMCA. Click here for more info.

Flushing Candlewalk Sponsor

The community of Flushing gets together each December in downtown Flushing to marvel in the lights and wonder of the Christmas decorations put up with funds raised by the community and Flushing Chamber of Commerce. This year’s event features a Christmas tree lighting and a parade of lights leading up to Santa Claus’ arrival! For more please visit here.

Grand Blanc Parks & Recreation Holiday Tree Lighting

This year the Grand Blanc Parks & Recreation Department will be holding their annual holiday tree lighting at Bicentennial Park. The event will feature fun for the whole family including hot cocoa for sale, pictures with Santa, wagon rides, and even entertainment. Find out more here.
