Dort Financial Credit Union is ending the summer with many community events including golf outings, charity events, and a radiothon benefitting Hurley Children’s Hospital. We are pleased to bring back the member favorite, Shred Days, to all 10 of our branch locations this Fall.
Hurley Foundation, “Let’s Make Miracles” Radiothon- September 15th– 16th
Dort Financial Credit Union has returned to proudly sponsor this two-day radio event. Hear personal stories directly from Children’s Hospital Network’s “Miracle Families” whose lives have been changed by Hurley Children’s Hospital, in Flint. Whether in Mid-Michigan, Northern Michigan or the Thumb, families have come to rely on the region’s only Children’s Miracle Network Hospital for advanced, innovative care they can’t get anywhere else. Your support makes sure all children receive that beacon of care, regardless of their ability to pay. You can tune in to Cars 108, Club 93.7, Banana 101.5, 1470 WFNT, and US 103.1 during the “Let’s Make Miracles” radiothon to listen to families, businesses, and staff speak about how Hurley Children’s Hospital has made a difference in their lives.
Food Bank of Eastern Michigan’s “Empty Bowls” – September 15th
If lots of soup, desserts, and art sounds like a combination you’d like, “empty Bowls” is the place to be! The annual “Empty Bowls” event raises funds for the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan, providing for local people and families who are in need. Each year the community comes together to sample soup from various local restaurants, bid on silent auction items, listen to local musical artists, and take home a homemade soup bowl, all in the name of charity. Shred Days Are Coming in October!
Dort Financial Credit Union is bringing back our Annual Shred Days in October. The shred truck will be visiting each of our 10 credit unions branches during the month, and will be available during select times for members to drop off their personal and important documents. Due to time and weight constraints, please plan ahead and only drop off the maximum amount of four 12” x 16” boxes per member.
